I need your help with something. I keep my phone locked with a pattern or numerical password to keep my anyone from looking through my phone when am not around. The problem is....whenever someone sends me a text as soon as you turn the screen on, the text message will show and from who. Also you can read the beginning of it. Now I have looked thru the display options and the settings for the text messages and I can not find a way to disable this feature. The only thing I can think of is disabling the auto-retrieve feature, is that the one that needs to be disabled???

Edit: I did a little bit of searching and the closest app I can find is called handcent. I downloaded it on my Inspire and it really does allow you to customize everything about the way you receive messages!
What about when you have your phone locked and you receive a call? I have my facebook contacts link to my "people" contacts and their pictures appear, if your phone is locked then why does it give you the option to answer the call? Sounds like a dumb question but think about it.....the purpose of locking your phone is so that no one is allowed to go thru it, but even if you have placed a lock on your phone when someone calls you....you can answer the call without using the password, thus defeats the purpose of having one.
One more thing I forget to ask, is there a way you can put a lock on certain features like the Messages, People, & Call History? Has anyone heard of an app that allows you to enable a lock for certain features?
