Hi all, i'm a new user of htc inspire, i bought mine used so that i have to use it with simple mobile, it works great no problems at all. when i started messing with it, i was able to use the portable wi-fi until i did a factory reset and all that was gone. well i tried different things like pdanet (which works great) but with the usb port. anyways, this is what i did to use it back wirelessly, settings>wireless & networks>airplane mode. ok. now stay right there and scroll down to portable wi-fi hotspot and turn it on, wait a few seconds it will be active but with no network of course, now scroll back up to airplane mode uncheck it, you will the same message again to enable tethering blabla!! scroll back down to portable wi-fi check it and woolola is working. pls let me know that works for you too.
