Charging issue

Recently, I've been having a hard time getting my phone to charge.  Plug it in to the wall charger and the charging light won't come on, nor does it show the battery charging animation on the home screen.

I fiddle with the cord, reset the phone, etc. Night before last, all I had to do was hit the lock button at the top of the phone and it would begin charging. But last night nothing was working.  It did eventually start charging (not sure what I did to start it). 

My fiance has the Inspire as well, and her charger was not working on phone either, so it has something to do with the phone.

Anyone else had this issue?

OK. Thanks.  I found out that my vehicle charger and USB seem to work fine. It also started charging immediately with the wall charger last night, but lost the connection when I moved the phone, so it does appear to be dirty or something and just losing contact.  I will clean it out now.

I blew it out and still have the same issue.

I'm not sure what it is.  Neither my charger or my fiance's charger (which is a little newer) work well on my phone.  Have to move it around to get a connection.  Her charger works fine on her's however.  But my USB charger and vehicle charger work fine on my phone. 

I'm thinking maybe it's a combination of the charging port and charger both wearing out.  I hardly use my USB and car chargers so they are still tight enough to make a good connection.
