So I got the new software, and now my Inspire 4G isn't sending text messages. The please wait message appears for only a half second if that, and I can only send texts to two people. I use the stock text app, so I'm not sure if there is a problem with that? Any help is much appreciated.

Mentioned in the forum already. There is a bug in the stock messaging app. Use a third party app like Handcent or GoSMS.  They are free and better than the stock app.

Yes it is.  There is a bug with matching contacts to numbers.  But it should be at least sending the text messages.

Yes it is.  There is a bug with matching contacts to numbers.  But it should be at least sending the text messages.

Will a third party messaging app take care of the 160 character restriction of the stock app as well? I even receive two text messages from the same sender if their message is over 160 characters.

i updated to gingerbread before AT&T even offedered it and there seems to be some serious issues between GB and out phone... Hopefully AT&T will figure it out... but i won;t hold my breath waiting for them.
